On Sunday 13th July 2025, the boys from HyperDrive performed for the second time at Pentameter's Theatre in Hampstead, North London. The Pentameter's Theatre is a small theatre located above The Horseshoe Pub in the centre of the Hampstead Village. The theatre was founded in 1968 by Leonie Scott-Matthews and is well-known for hosting a wide range of events including poetry readings, putting on Shakespeare plays, hosting comedy nights and music events. The theatre is a small 60-seat venue that retains a historic rustic aesthetic. Sadly, the Pentameter's Theatre is now closing due to agreements with the The Horseshoe Pub below, however on Sunday 13th July 2025, the theatre put on an Closing Open Mic Night and HyperDrive came down to play as the first of several bands to play for what became a very packed audience. It was somewhat of a "pressure-cooker" gig for the boys in the band as they were performing during a heatwave that was going on in the UK at the time and were asked to only play one song and the boys had to setup very quickly using the venue's equipment. It was fair to say that the boys were feeling the pressure, however, if you take a look at the video that is on the HyperDrive gallery page, you can see the guys had a great time playing for the audience of the Pentameter's Theatre. Here are a couple of still-photos from the night of the performance. To see the full performance, head on over to the "Gallery" where you can see all the HyperDrive performances.
